Tracy Lessor is a seasoned science and corporate communications professional with more than 25 years of experience in the both the corporate and agency setting. Tracy has extensive expertise supporting C-suite executives and key opinion leaders within the biotech/pharmaceutical industries, CRO/CMOs, academia, non-profit, and government organizations to help shape communications strategies to achieve business objectives.
As Executive Director of Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations at Schrödinger, Tracy led all external and internal communications across the company, and built the thought leadership platform, Extrapolations. She also worked closely with the Therapeutics team to develop abstracts, posters, and MOA videos, and helped train scientists on presentation development. At Amgen, Tracy served as director of Corporate Affairs for the global biosimilars portfolio where she conditioned the external environment for Amgen’s success through an integrated biosimilars policy campaign that strengthened share of voice across audiences and reinforced Amgen’s leadership position in the marketplace. She led external and internal communications for the launch of the company’s first five biosimilar medicines globally and prepared the market for next wave assets.
At Feinstein Kean Healthcare/Ogilvy, Tracy served as senior vice president for science communications, where she developed strategic communications programs that seamlessly blended science communications, publication planning, investor relations, advocacy relations, media relations, thought leadership, and social media to achieve business objectives. Some of her clients included the New York Genome Center, the Genome Project-write (GP-write), the Center of Excellence for Engineering Biology, Pfizer, the National Institutes of Health , PhRMA, the Personalized Medicine Coalition, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson and Johnson Innovation, and MilliporeSigma. On the medical education front, Tracy served as a senior clinical editor and product manager at Pri-Med Institute, working with top key opinion leaders to ensure the success of numerous continuing medical education (CME) programs.
Tracy earned a Ph.D. in molecular and cell biology at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center, an M.B.A. at Babson College and is a Board-Certified Editor of the Life Sciences (ELS).
